Carly’s Favorites — Back to School Edition
Back to school season is here, and our house is buzzing with drop-offs, activities, and busy calendars.
As we find our rhythm again, I thought it would be fun to share some of our family’s favorite rituals — mine and my girls’. These are the little things helping us stay grounded, nourished, and rested this season.

Immune Support for Back to School
Daily Nourishment
Outside of whole foods and the well-balanced meals we make at home, we also make sure to stay on top of our gut health. Seed has been my daily go-to for years.
For the girls, it’s Hiya — they look forward to it every morning with breakfast. My 4-year-old especially loves the independence of getting her vitamins on her own, and it gives us all that extra layer of immune support we count on heading into fall and winter.

Teas & Scents for the Nervous System
Calming Rituals
Evenings are about slowing down, and these little rituals help us all settle. For me, it’s a cup of Oshala Farm’s “Be Calm & Carry On” tea, an herbal blend that supports the nervous system and makes the perfect natural bedtime ritual.
For the girls, it’s their Nocturnal Mist by Cleban & Daughters — a few quick sprays they love as part of their nightly routine. It’s become a signal: their bodies and minds know instantly it’s time to rest, making bedtime smoother and more peaceful.

Evening Bath
Bath time is our reset — a way to wash off the day and ease into a slower rhythm. We all use Luna Clear Shampoo + Luna Clear Conditioner, a gentle duo that works for all of us — different hair types, different scalps
It’s extra gentle for the girls and adds the hydration we need coming out of the hot summer. This simple ritual leaves hair soft, scalps happy, and the whole house ready for rest.

Evening rituals
Self Care
For the girls, it’s All Things Oil — we lather it on right before they hop out of the bath, and it’s truly magic for their skin.
For me, I’ll do the same, or if I’m craving deeper self care, I’ll reach for our Deep Magic Serum as a scalp treatment and let it sit before I jump into the shower. It’s the ultimate scalp hydration, and it gives me that extra moment to slow down and check in with myself.

Setting the Scene for Restful Sleep
Mood Lighting
Evenings are when we all need to downshift, and lighting plays such a big role in that. We keep things soft and warm, which instantly makes the house feel calmer and signals the body to slow down.
For the girls, I love using a red night light, motion-activated (optional) — they give just enough glow without disturbing sleep. For me, a gentle reading light does the same, letting me unwind with a book after bedtime while protecting my own sleep rhythm.
