Inner Circle: Sydnie Bray

Sydnie is the owner and powerhouse behind LiveEdge Salon + Spa, our neighborhood eco-salon specializing in scalp care, non-toxic treatments, and full rejuvenation (there's one in Oregon City, too!). You wouldn't believe it, but we were work neighbors long before we even knew one another... literally, right down the road from each other. We connected with Sydnie + her team about a year and a half ago, realizing soon thereafter we shared so many similar beliefs on how to approach hair, self-care, and the earth with kindness + integrity above all. It is such a joy to see how Sydnie + her salons integrate Under Luna into their everyday worlds.

How would you describe your current phase of life?

I'm in a wonderfully vibrant yet deeply demanding chapter—nurturing two salons (one seasoned at 10 years, the other blossoming at 3), and raising two curious little souls, Bear and Cedar, alongside my incredible wife, Ruby. Life moves quickly, so I've learned to cherish—and fiercely protect—moments of calm amidst the beautiful chaos.

I feel most myself when...

I'm creating and designing thoughtful services for our salon menu—meticulously honing in on every detail to elevate the guest experience, crafting something genuinely special that feels luxurious, intentional, and unforgettable. And equally, when I'm immersed in nature with my family, watching my girls discover their own love for the forest.

What is your recipe for 'taking care'?

My recipe starts by consciously reserving space just for me—scheduling massages and facials to nourish my body and spirit, and carving out intentional downtime at home, especially those precious baths and showers my family knows I cherish. Taking mindful walks outdoors, breathing deeply, and seeing the world anew through my daughters' eyes completes the blend. It's a practice I honor, because I know taking care of me helps me show up fully for everyone else.

Your favorite Under Luna ritual.

Oh, it's a full ritual for me—I love starting with the Grounded Shampoo, followed by the Revive Conditioner to bring my hair back to life after busy days.
