Episode 02 — The Story Behind Hop-Infused Growth Serum

Carly and Augusto share the unexpected origin of the Hop-Infused Growth Serum—and how a family visit to a local Oregon hop farm sparked an idea that would take nearly a year to bring to life.

It began with a freshly picked hop placed on top of a beer. Curious about the plant beyond brewing, Carly began researching its aromatic, antioxidant-rich, and naturally protective properties—and asking what it could do for the scalp.

Months of researching, infusing, testing, and refining followed. Fresh, locally sourced hops were slowly infused into nourishing oils and paired with amla, bhringraj, cacao, and neroli to create Under Luna’s richest, most scalp-targeted treatment.

The Hop-Infused Growth Serum launched last fall and has since sold out twice—something we never anticipated, but are deeply grateful for.
