SOS: Save Our Scalp

Let’s talk about one of the most common scalp concerns—dandruff. While many products can make the problem worse, true healing starts by addressing the root cause. Scalp and skin issues often reflect internal imbalances, like gut health, diet, hormonal changes (including postpartum), and stress.

Healing takes time, just as it took time for the issue to appear. Trust your instincts; you likely have an idea of what might be contributing. By identifying the cause and making small changes, you're on the right path.

Medicated Shampoos?

No thanks. They act as temporary fixes and can cause long-term damage. Instead, focus on nourishing and hydrating your scalp with oils and regular washing. Although it may seem counterintuitive, washing more often is key to giving your scalp the care it needs.

Dandrufff vs. Flaky Scalp?

Differentiating between the two is the first order of business. Dandruff usually comes with an oily scalp and we recommend using Warrior Shampoo. A dry and flaky scalp will do best with Luna Clear Shampoo.

Tips for a Healthy Scalp

  • Wash more frequently, adding one extra shower per week.

  • Do a weekly ACV rinse before your shower - more info here.

  • Double shampoo always. Warrior Shampoo (for an oily scalp/dandruff) or Luna Clear Shampoo (for dry scalp/flaky) are great, scalp loving shampoos thanks to their amazing herbs.

  • Apply Deep Magic Hair + Scalp Serum for 10-15 minutes before your shower or as an overnight treatment. This has been extremely helpful for any flakiness.
